Seventh Annual Uncorked! Wine Festival Comes to Ghirardelli Square
More than 50 wineries will pour their latest releases at the May 19 Uncorked! Wine Festival in San Francisco’s Ghirardelli Square. Proceeds from the seventh presentation of the event benefit Save The Bay, a nonprofit working to protect and promote San Francisco Bay.
Beringer, Etude and Chateau St. Jean are among wineries headlining Uncorked!, which sets up on Ghirardelli Square, Beach Street and Aquatic Park. Attendees can sit in on wine education sessions led by local retailer Cellar360. Several San Francisco restaurants, including Ana Mandara and McCormick & Kuleto’s, will offer cooking demonstrations throughout the afternoon. And, guests who purchase VIP event tickets will enjoy general admission and educational seminars, as well as special reserve wine tastings and access to a private patio.
Kingsborough, the San Francisco finalist in the Hard Rock Rising 2012 – Global Battle of the Bands competition, will take center stage with a live performance during Uncorked!. All City Elite and Dear Park Avenue are also in the musical lineup. Ghirardelli Square’s restaurants and retail shops will extend exclusive specials during event hours, as well.
Uncorked! takes place on Saturday, May 19, from 1-6 p.m. (the VIP area opens from 1-5 p.m.). Tickets are $50 per person or $80 for VIP entrance.
